Complete with Texas drools, lap steels and honky tonk tales of heartbreak, THE DURELL FAMILY are as country as a cow pie in the jaws of a hungry cowboy. But are they pranksters? To look at them, you'd certainly think so; the shexshy singer is dolled up in a big blonde wig and check shirt. Stage left, the double bassist is wearing a prison jump suit (no time to change after the jailbreak, we're told). So - joke band, yep? Well... almost. Instead, the facade simply disarms the audience, opening their minds through their grins while some rattling, rolling, snake-wrestling anthems travel through their ears. It's opium, it's Mazzy Star, it's Dolly Parton on toast... and they're rather fantastic.

...Q65 “Revival”
Second track sounds like a more snarly mid-60s Who. Excellent.
