Dave Taylor reckons the latest LR Rockets release is one of the finest power pop tunes you'll hear all year. The single has a great video too - check it out on You Tube!
'Prank Caller' is I think their second single. It's in the same kind of vein as their debut 'London Girls' but there's less histrionics and more late 70s power pop perfection. It's like The Jags meets Roxy Music meets the Buzzcocks.
Great vocals in the chorus too - deserves to be a big hit.
You can watch the video on You Tube. It's directed by Sami Absamura and features the band as hard boiled Mike Hammer style detectives, tracking down their phone abusing alter egos.
The single itself is released at the end of April.
