Dance With Voices had received more gold stars in 2006 than any other new band you care to mention.
Chosen by NME as a "Breaking Band", the release of their COLD COLOURS EP, coveted support slots for MSTRKRFT and The Infadels, announced as a main stage act at Good Vibrations Festival in February and chosen as a Next Crop artist for Australia’s Youth Broadcaster - Triple J’s Ausmusic Month.
All this in less than 10 months. Their sound can best be described as a clever balance of the immediacy of electro and the best of the synth revolution of the 80's.
Often drawing parallels with early New Order and Pet Shop Boys yet never dwelling in the past, Dance With Voices have rolled this sound forward and are making waves in their own right.
With a UK tours including the Great Escape Festival, and a Sydney We Love Sounds festival slot, in 2007, their stride will only get larger.
Some would consider him an oldfart for someone who is still out n about on the Sydney rock scene. Other's would say otherwise - but does this really matter? He like likes rock/metal/noise, women, livin life and the occasional church burning. He is the drummer for The Staggerlees and a stoner band called Powerhead and will be hooking up with your sister in a venue soon.

ARTROCKER: How’s it all going?
RHYS JONES: It seems to be going all right I guess. It’s weird. We’re in our own little bubble. We’re away all the time then we come back and people will say 'oh this happened...

Now then, Devendra Banhart. I've always liked his beard, but not his music. However, his new collaboration with Greg Rogrove - called Megapuss - is rather good.

THE COVERGIRLS
Best new band in Glasgow, by a mile!
...Francis Bacon
Any more snooker cliches?
...Q65 “Revival”
Second track sounds like a more snarly mid-60s Who. Excellent.
...Q65 “Revival”
First one sounds like Sean Ryder having a flashback but second track is a killer.
...Only By The Night
