The hypemachine is already cranked up to 11 for AN EXPERIMENT ON A BIRD IN THE AIR PUMP, with single of the month in Artrocker magazine, a nod in the NME and a style tick from, er.. The Sunday Times. Thankfully, from what I’ve heard so far it’s all pretty well deserved. They play catchy raw fuzz pop - with everso slightly gothy overtones. I’m not sold on this whole ‘dark rock’ thing so I’m not going to mention that. Some of their other tracks remind me of The Witches (the Detroit band, not the Manchester one) - it’s all good.

Their blog is a good read too. Anyone who links a track from Meat Puppets II is alright by me.

Download Lights Out and put on repeat, or you may miss it. What I’m saying is, it’s quite short.
