CAPSTAN SHAFTS are giving away 6 of their tracks for free on archive.org. Seeing as the 6 song EP, Cretin Flowers, is one of the best I’ve heard this year, you’d be foolish not to fill your audio boots with them.
It’s more DIY loose and lovely rock n roll. As with most of the stuff I like, there’s a sparkling gem of a tune at the core of all the ramshackleness. With CAPSTAN SHAFTS, there’s also the bonus of sharp lyrics and pulitzer prize winning song titles.
