Go!Zilla return on August bank holiday with another intimate affair. In a break from the bigger events of the weekend they relish bringing the best live acts to the dancefloor with enough fresh, inspiring and diverse music to keep us going for the close of the Summer months. Enjoyed in the setting of Cargo complete with outdoor terrace and indoor purpose-built live music space.
The concept behind Glimpse is to write music dictated by instinct rather than influence. Based on feeling and honesty, Glimpse’s music is heart-felt, warm and broody. From an early age Chris Spero had an interest in Jazz, Blues and Techno, performing in several bands and releasing electronic music on various labels such as Leftroom, Four:Twenty and forthcoming on Carl Craig’s seminal Planet E imprint. If Glimpse has as yet escaped your notice, this is your chance to pay attention to one of the UK’s most exciting young producers.
A band with a huge name and even bigger reputation, ‘They Came from The Stars, I Saw Them’ are next on the bill. As described in Clash magazine “So what is this creature that They Came From The Stars… have created? Modern day New Wave, Nu-New Wave, True Wave perhaps – Christ I don't know, but for sure it's wonkier than the most intense festival casualty you've ever seen trying to walk in straight line, and it's also a bit brilliant – we need more music like this.”
allez-allez are Sam and Steve. They are rapidly gaining a reputation as London's hottest up-and coming DJs. They have hosted and played alongside the likes of Nathan Fake, LCD's James Murphy, Optimo, Four Tet, Shackleton, Hercules & Love Affair and Clark amongst others. Their DJ sets are a party mixture of all things weird, wonderful and danceable - think krautrock / minimal / industrial / house.
James Priestley our beloved resident joins the dots between the Worlds of modern underground music, weaving through dance and its counterparts. His and Terry Hart’s vision for Go!Zilla has formed a beautiful monster of a party for us all to enjoy.

Best new band in Glasgow, by a mile!
...Any more snooker cliches?
...Second track sounds like a more snarly mid-60s Who. Excellent.
...First one sounds like Sean Ryder having a flashback but second track is a killer.

Joyous ideas packed art pop from Cardiff seven piece. Sounds like Art Brut, The Research and Palomar got wasted on absinthe and took the stage together at an open mic...
Killer blast of pop punk from Auckland's The Sneaks. Stephen Malkmus has left Pavement, recruited Mike Watt on bass, written some songs with Rivers Cuomo and formed The Sneaks.
