Fresh Legs - Julian EP

Fresh Legs are an art pop band from Portsmouth who by all accounts set alight the Red Bull stage at this year’s Bestival with their twisty riffs and gold spandex. They’ve just released a new EP - Julian - and it’s a delight.

Singer Ella is a real star in the making - there’s proper attitude to her vocals, sounding like a cross between Ladyfuzz’s Liz Neumayr and Karen O. The tunes themselves are jerk-pop indie gems, with chiming inventive guitars at all angles and nicely positioned bouts of noise. If you’re a fan of Johnny Foreigner or C86, then you should check them out pronto.
