Did anybody see dead kids? Heard they were good.

YAY!! It was brilliant:D I'd

YAY!! It was brilliant:D I'd like to hear everyone elses' experiences but mine can be summed up thusly: Bon Iver was incredible and made friends of mine cry, The Mae Shi was the funnest gig ever except for the stupid girls who kept shouting shit into the mic at the end, No Age were excellent, as were some other bands. Free cocktails for at least an hour (we took the whole jug) set up Saturday perfectly, as did a free meal at a lovely Italian restaurant (we didn't do a runner but it sure felt like we did!), the house party with Roll Tomassi and Maths Class was INSANE - we left before anything really bad happened. Nights on the beach randomly finding shells and drinking beer, laughing ahrder than I have in ages...it was all superb. How bout anyone else?

Yeah it is really

Yeah it is really good.
Young Knives I've seen loads but all the rest of those I could do with seeing. There are a ridiculous amount of clashes, as you'd expect from the nature of the festival. Still, should be amazing whatever happens:D

Brad – Mon, 2008 – 05 – 12 18:20

I've not seen Young Knives

since I left blighty, so I'd probably get all emotional at one of their gigs. They should come over here! Only laziness and extortionate air fares preventing them probably.

Are you reporting on Great Escape for the mag Brad? If so, look forward to reading it!

Dave – Tue, 2008 – 05 – 13 04:44

YEP!!! It's gonna be the

YEP!!! It's gonna be the best festival write up ever:D Well.....maybe not, but it should at least be entertaining and well written:)

Brad – Tue, 2008 – 05 – 13 20:00

Amazing line up

This year. Almost too good. It can only lead to disappointment at all the bands you'll miss.

I'd definitely have a looksee at:

Black Angels
Collapsing Cities
Ebony Bones
Glasvegas
The Golden Dogs
Ladyhawke
Cut off Your Hands
Young Knives
Matthew Sawyer & The Ghosts
Hold Steady
Pete & The Pirates
Screaming Tea Party
The Ruby Suns
Strange Death of Liberal England

Argh! Too many. 4 bands from NZ too. I've gone native...
