AR: Hello Meemaw. I see from your myspace site you're seeking donations to fund a veg oil bus. How's that going?
She can manhandle a crystal ball like no mortal I've laid eyes on.
You essentially are adding hose and fuel filters. Eventually, infinitycat.com should have some information on our style of
conversion known as hose-within-a-hose.
AR:Where's the veg oil bus going to take you?
MEEMAW:On the tour we went on, and to shows in the future, and hopefully, the usual bigger and better things obviously in accordance with our hearts' endless wild desire. The tour took us up from Nashville to Brooklyn on diesel, and then once finding the appropriate fuel filters, from Nashville to Florida. In Florida we met someone who had made a hydrogen input into his air filter by filling a mason jar with baking soda and water, attaching electrodes, and sending the vapor into his engine through a hole he drilled in the air filter to supplement his gas mileage by 2-5 miles per gallon. It was neat, but looked a little dangerous, because its important to know if you are putting in as much energy as you are letting out and not overpowering
something.
AR:What's it like playing in Nashville? Isn't it all just country bands there?
MEEMAW:Actually, there is a great variety of bands we consider in the same vein of music that we play with such as JEFF the brotherhood, Happy Box, Marj!, Dewey Decibel,
Turbo Fruits, Deluxin', The Mattoid, and Gnarwhal. You should check all the gorgeous guys and lovely ladies out by searching there names on the interweb, or I can give you their addresses like:
JEFF the brotherhood: myspace.com/jakeandjamin or infinitycat.com
Happy Box: myspace.com/happyboxband
Turbo Fruits: myspace.com/turbofruits
The Mattoid: myspace.com/themattoid
Gnarwhal: myspace.com/gnarwhalisokay
and I don't think Deluxin has interweb nets, but their record is incredible.
Besides country, the main draw in Nashville is hardcore or metal, especially the "faith struggle 2008" or "songs about killing your ex-girlfriend" kind, songs conducive for gracefully shifting into
adulthood, and we all know how easy that is. However, most people assume that about Nashville, but there are some very interesting sounds floating around in the present, so naturally, you should all get hyper-focused ASAP.
AR:The tunes on your myspace site are some of the best I've heard this year. A mix of very early Soul Asylum (when they were Loud Fast Rules) with some Velvet Underground / Times New Viking style noise pop on Blue in the Blacklight. What bands do you listen to?
MEEMAW:Dead Moon, Bruce Springsteen, and JUSTICE.
AR:Is Glass Elevator out yet?
MEEMAW:Yes. You can get it at infinitycat.com. It is a 7" vinyl with 4 songs on it and a CD with those songs and 4 more. So a 7" and an 8 song CD and liner notes for $5. We toured on it this summer with JEFF the brotherhood and their $10 12" LP release the Boyz R Back In Town.
We are in the beginning stages of our next record, DREAMCATCHER, which
will also be an Infinity Cat Recordings release. It will be a 12" LP. The song Dry Hump ,which is on our giga-profile-site:
myspace.com/pigsinpossumalley, will be on the record, among many others soon to be available for listening on the interweb netframe.
AR:Tell me about the new zine you're working on.
MEEMAW:Its called POWER DAD by Sigmund's Lerners Inc. and released through Dog Den. It basically empowers you to become the ultimate POWER DAD that you can be through an intensive program of Power Shakes enabling you raise you to the pinnacle of your mental and sexual prowess. You
can see its beginning stages at:

AR:Who does the horoscopes? They seem frighteningly accurate.
MEEMAW:The incredible Arch Duchess Katherine Duckworth. She can manhandle a crystal ball like no mortal I've laid eyes on.
Here's her legend for any POWER DAD inquiry:
