The Joy Formidable

The Joy Formidable are a three-piece band from North Wales, currently located in London, England. Vocalist/guitarist Ritzy Bryan and bassist Rhydian Dafydd originally played together as part of new wave/post-punk band Sidecar Kisses[1] before the band's dissolution. They regrouped on returning to Mold, Wales and formed The Joy Formidable, with Justin Stahley now on drums, in 2007.[2] Their music has been described as "primal epic grunge rock á la The Breeders, Arcade Fire and Yeah Yeah Yeahs"[2] and they were citied by The Guardian as "one to watch" in 2008.[3]
